i noticed that they go for 12k and sometimes higher, i just wanted to know why are they so expensive? And how do you get tomes anyway?

Normal tomes drop from stuff in HM. Elite tomes drop from bosses in HM.

Rit tomes are more expensive because (comparitively) there are very few Rits compared to Warriors/Assassins. Also, Melee classes tend to be easier to farm so supply shoots through the roof as a side effect of that.

Tomes drop from monsters in hard mode; elite tomes drop from bosses in hard mode. You can also get them out of chests in hard mode. Regardless of where they drop from, they're rather rare and can be difficult to come by. Rare items have higher prices.

I know I've been trying for ever to find a place where I could farm normal/elite rit tomes. Unfortunately I have yet to find a group with much more than 2 rits in them, unless of course you count over-aggroing

. Conversely you'll notice that warrior, ranger, assassin (physical damage critters) will gather in larger numbers.

I did however find a place that is super easy to farm rit tomes, nice and close to town and you can use terrain to not take damage. Unfortunately there's only one rit, but he's a boss so there's a chance that you get his green as well. Check here for the build, scroll down and you'll see boss strategies. Look for Ritualist's Construct and good luck!

On a side note to the OP, 12k? Really? I've been selling them for 10k. Guess I'll have to pull out the pricing gun and mark up the merchandise. Muahahaha!

Ah darn it, sold 2 for 5k each last night.. oh well. Someone got a good deal.

Anyway there is the skill eater and pain eater in drazah thicket not far and only a couple of groups from Eternal Grove. Not that they ever drop anything useful for me of course...

yeah im poor Q.Q, the only way i make money is by alliance battles and selling z-keys. I dont really know how to farm and if i ever did, il probably get pwned.
